Northern Greece & the Aegean Mission

A slow-paced route across mainland Greece, pairing archaeological sites with quiet time for teaching and reflection. Your own leader teaches; our guides handle the history, the logistics and the coffee stops.

Day by day

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Thessaloniki

   Airport welcome, transfer to the seafront hotel and an opening evening meal together.

2. Day 2

   Kavala & Philippi

   The ancient port of Neapolis, then the excavated forum, basilicas and prison site at Philippi.

3. Day 3

   Lydia & Amphipolis

   Morning at the baptistery by the Zygaktis river, afternoon among the Hellenistic remains of Amphipolis.

4. Day 4

   Thessaloniki on foot

   Rotunda, Galerius arch, Roman forum and the Church of Saint Demetrios, with free time in the old town.

5. Day 5

   Veroia & Vergina

   The synagogue steps at Veroia and the royal Macedonian tombs at Vergina.

6. Day 6

   Meteora

   Travel south through Thessaly to the monasteries perched on their sandstone pillars.

7. Day 7

   Delphi to Athens

   The oracle sanctuary on Parnassus, then on to Athens for two nights.

8. Day 8

   Athens & Corinth

   The Areopagus and Agora in the morning; the bema, springs and museum of Corinth after lunch.

9. Day 9

   Departure

   Transfers to Athens airport at your group's convenience.
